About
SpongeBob SquarePants is the musical adaptation of the children's animated series from Nickelodeon of the same name. We find ourselves in the underwater city of Bikini Bottom, inhabited by the ever-optimistic and carefree SpongeBob and his equally cheerful friends and neighbors. SpongeBob's pleasant existence is abruptly interrupted by the news of a possible eruption of the nearby volcano, Mount Humongous, which would destroy Bikini Bottom. As tremors and rock avalanches from the volcano occur, the inhabitants of Bikini Bottom seek to find a culprit, a savior, or for the government to take charge. In the midst of the collective hysteria, when everything seemed lost, a hero appears ready to take action and fight against the catastrophe.
